Description
Tumuñan Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon Red Wine 750 cc.
We consider this wine a Gran Reserva Plus due to its great quality. Grown in Alto Colchagua at the foot of the Andes mountain range, it has 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Syrah.
The vineyard is located 35 km south-west of San Fernando, in the foothills. Surrounded by a centuries-old native forest, the Tumuñan River valley is oriented from north to south, and is characterized by cool breezes, strong sun and low night temperatures.
The fruit is harvested by hand and destemmed directly into small-batch fermentation tanks with three bites daily. After pressing the skins in a traditional basket press, the wine is aged in 225-litre French oak barrels for 24 months before being prepared for bottle.
Tasting: Distinctive aromas of fresh red fruits and violets combined with dried herbs and tobacco notes express the fresh mountain climate. A medium weight wine with a refreshing acid balance, spicy flavors and tannins. Toasted oak notes complement the fruit and add depth to the palate.
Aging Potential: 3-5 years Pairing: Ideal to accompany pasta, red meat, cheese or a creamy Thai curry.
